HOT SPRINGS & SPA

The site was selected for its natural hot springs that form part of the building’s progam. The concept of the design deals with REBIRTH, which is what Guatemalan’s believe the meaning of a volcano was. 
Located on the edge of a volcano crater, the architectural intervention seeks to bring a sense of rebirth to the users , which is achieved through harmony found in the alignment of the seven chakras. 
The experiences felt in the thermal baths are meant to help users open their chakras as they move through the different spaces and interact with the proposed program.
